Theresa Yakich
Vice President of Clinic Operations
Dr. Theresa Yakich is the Vice President of Clinic Operations for the Family Support Center of Colorado and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst Doctoral level. For almost 25 years, Theresa has been providing behavior analytic services within the educational, community, and clinical settings to individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioral needs. Theresa’s research interests include parent and staff training, and her work is published in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. She is passionate about FSC’s role in promoting the practice of integrated care in the local Colorado community, bringing together talented practitioners, and helping families access care for their children.

Shacara Quarles
Clinical Director
Shacara Quarles has worked for FSC for over a decade. She started in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis over 13 years ago working directly with clients and returned to school to pursue her board certification. She became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst before moving into a BCBA position. Shacara also has a masters in Public Administration and Management and her LBA. During her time with Family Support Center, she managed a caseload for 4 years, moved into a clinic manager role, and currently, she serves as the clinical director of our 5 locations in Colorado, where she oversees the day to day operations. In her free time she enjoys spending time traveling abroad with her son and husband, hiking, spending time with her 4 chickens and 3 dogs and trying new restaurants.

Mariel Garcia
Business Development Director
Mariel Garcia is the Business Development Director for the Family Support Center of Colorado. She received her Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addiction Counselor and Certified Prevention Specialist. She has years of experience working with children and families in behavioral health. She serves as a board member for Centro Counseling and Advocacy Services. She is also a crisis evaluator and behavioral health clinician in Colorado Springs in her spare time. She’s very passionate about giving back to her community!

Sherie Terranova
Operations Director
Sherie Terranova is Family Support Center’s Operations Director. She is a native to Colorado and has been in practice management for over 20 years. She started managing operations by becoming a practice manager for a veterinary hospital before making her way to Family Support Center in 2011. She loves being an integral part of a growing company and has a passionate commitment to first-rate client care. Sherie thrives by supporting FSC’s wonderful staff who make a difference in the lives of the exceptional children at our centers.

Courtney Cranford
Human Resource Manager
Courtney Cranford is the HR Manager and head of the Human Resources department at Family Support Center. With over five years of experience at the organization and more than a year in HR, she has held various roles, including Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Floor Supervisor, Mentor, and member of the Planning Team. Courtney holds an undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership and is certified as a SHRM-CP. She is dedicated to fostering a collaborative partnership between the company and its employees.

Dr. Janice Gonzales
Licensed Psychologist
Janice Gonzales is Family Support Center’s Pueblo based Licensed Psychologist. She received her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University. She has 10+ years working in the field of mental health with adults and children and has previous experience working as a behavior therapist using ABA therapy. Dr. Gonzales is passionate about being a support and advocate for families and clients and providing training and education for the community and the FSC team.

Dr. Angela Beers
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Angela Beers is a licensed clinical psychologist based in Colorado Springs, serving clients through the Family Support Center. She earned both her master’s degree (2008) and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2015) from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology. Her doctoral internship at American Indian Health and Family Services in Southwest Detroit deepened her cultural awareness and shaped her strengths-based, affirming approach to culturally responsive care, assessment, and diagnosis.

Dr. Beers has delivered mental health services and psychological assessments across a wide range of settings, including correctional facilities, non-profits, inpatient youth programs, and adult outpatient care, both in-person and via telehealth.

Beyond assessment, Dr. Beers’s expertise includes culturally responsive therapy, mindfulness-based practices, clinical supervision, consultation, public speaking, advocacy, legislative drafting, and professional licensing rule-making. She has also taught in higher education, including Naropa University’s Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling program and Macomb Community College in Michigan.

Her diverse experience helps her blend careful assessments with a whole-person, culturally aware approach to care. Outside of work, Dr. Beers enjoys time with her children, hiking, dancing, and attending music festivals, embracing a joyful, well-balanced life.

McKenna Buonocore
Scheduling Supervisor
McKenna Young is Family Support Center's Family Coordinator. She has worked at FSC for over 4 years. McKenna began working at the Front Desk, then transitioned to the scheduling team, and now is the Family Coordinator and Scheduling Supervisor. She loves connecting with families, helping them through the intake process and problem-solving schedules to maximize client care. In her free time, McKenna loves spending time outdoors kayaking with her daughter and fiancée.

Dr. Brian Schneider
Licensed Psychologist
Brian Schneider is a Family Support Center’s Colorado Springs based Licensed Psychologist. He received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Child Psychology from Marquette University, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. He received his APA accredited internship and fellowship through Aurora Mental Health Center in the Denver area. Dr. Schneider has 15+ years working in behavioral health with children, adolescents, adults, and parents. He has worked with youth in various capacities, including a youth coach and recreational activity manager and youth counselor and camp manager while in high school and in undergraduate, and a BCBA therapist before attending graduate school. He has been a licensed psychologist for the last 12+ years. Dr. Schneider also has over 10 years of experience providing training and supervision to doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows in the completion of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological assessments, including Autism Spectrum Disorder evaluations. He had the opportunity to complete his graduate research supporting youth and families in Central America including providing mental health support to orphaned children and victimized mothers. On his free time, Dr. Schneider enjoys being with his family and spending time outdoors.

Ashley Urbino
Recruiting and Retention Specialist
Ashley Urbino is FSC's Recruiting and Retention Specialist with extensive experience in care delivery, leadership, and mentorship of others in the ABA field. She received her Bachelor's in Psychology, then became an RBT for 4 years moving into clinical mentorship and leadership roles. She has been in her current position for almost 4 years, and really enjoys the ability to reach out to the community and educate them on ABA therapy and the opportunities in the field. She loves seeing the newly hired RBT's get the chance to make a difference in a child's life, and enjoys offering guidance to move up in our company!

Kayla Owens
Clinic Manager - South Office
Kayla Owens started her journey in ABA five years ago as an RBT while earning her bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Ethnic Studies and Sociology with a minor in Applied Science from UCCS. She later earned her master’s in Special Education with an emphasis in ABA from Ball State University and became a BCaBA in 2023 and later a BCBA in 2024. Kayla is passionate about helping children and families and strives for empathy, strong leadership, and supportive nature. She values growth both personally and professionally and works hard to create a positive, team-focused environment where staff and clients can thrive.

Jan Castro
Clinic Manager - Central Office
Jan Castro has been at FSC for over 5 years. He started in the field of ABA 5 years ago as an RBT. Jan earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He also has a Masters degree in Special Education with emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Northern Colorado. Jan earned his BCBA in 2022 and moved into the clinic manager role at the central location. Jan is very passionate about serving the community and helping children reach their full potential so that they can have better quality of life.

Melissa Smith
Clinic Manager - North Pueblo Office
Melissa Smith has been with Family Support Center since it newly opened its first Pueblo location in 2018. Originally from Salt Lake City, UT, she has twenty years of experience working with children and adults with disabilities in a variety of settings. She developed a passion for working with the special needs population early in her career, and eventually pursued her BCaBA certification, masters degree in ABA, and then BCBA certification in 2016. Melissa is proud to be a part of the wonderful Pueblo community, and has a goal of increasing access and knowledge of ABA within in.

Becky North
Clinic Manager - Pueblo Central Office
Becky North is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who received her Master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in behavior analysis from Ball State University. She is currently the Clinic Manager for the central location for Family Support Center in Pueblo. Becky has worked in the field of applied behavior analysis for 7 years moving through clinical roles from a behavior technician to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Becky’s undergraduate degree is in education where she spent many years working with students of all abilities. Her primary clinical experience is with individuals of all ages and many diagnoses both in center and in homes. Becky’s passion is supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Diagnosis and their families reach their fullest potential.

Brianna McGookin
Clinic Manager - North Office
Brianna McGookin has worked for Family Support Center for 2 years as a BCBA. Brianna has been in the field of ABA for 6 years, starting as an RBT in her hometown of South Bend, Indiana and then going back to school to achieve her BCBA. Brianna attended Indiana University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in exercise science and attended Ball State University for her Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis.
